This article analyzes the transformation of international communication under the influence of generative artificial intelligence (AI). Key opportunities for using AI in the information sphere are identified: automation of content creation, its personalization, and the modernization of communications infrastructure. In parallel, the serious risks of using AI are examined, including the spread of disinformation, threats to information security, and the deepening of the digital divide. The results of the study lead to the conclusion that, in the context of deep mediatization, generative artificial intelligence (AI), represented by ChatGPT, is changing the media form, content ecology, communication mechanisms, and the value ethics of international communication in various ways. Although generative AI demonstrates broad application prospects, it can also carry a number of potential risks, becoming a technical variable that cannot be ignored in international communication. Generative AI has the potential to threaten the information security and data security of sovereign states and exacerbate imbalances in the global information dissemination order. The conclusion suggests avenues for international cooperation, in particular between China and Russia, to share the potential and minimize the threats of generative AI.
