The article presents an overview of ten years of experience in the study of the national element of the creative process and of the X International Scientific Conference "Creativity as a national element: the problem of good and Evil", held from June 27 to July 1 at the Department of Social Sciences of the Faculty of Humanities of St. Petersburg State University of Economics. The history of the formation and implementation of this scientific project is revealed. The peculiar results of the ten-year journey are emphasized, which is reflected in the thematic focus of the anniversary conference and the content of the reports heard. The review substantiates that the realization of the philosophical function of philosophy con-tributes to the development of self-awareness of any national culture and, thereby, ensures its subjectivity. The importance of the problem of subjectivity of different countries is significantly aggravated in the modern historical situation. The participants of the conference, analyzing the phenomenon of creativity and its national characteristics in various aspects, expressed their understanding of how the element of national creativity determines the course of history. The intercultural dialogue, especially at the anniversary confer-ence, highlighted the realization that through creative activity, realized in the coordinates of good and evil in individual countries, we all create a common history.
