In the context of the digital transformation of communication practices, a contradiction arises between the increasing speed of information exchange and the need to maintain ethical standards. This article demonstrates that the principles of communication ethics formulated by S. Bibi and T. Mottet retain their heuristic value for analyzing contemporary digital communications but require integration with the concept of the ethics of responsibility. The article also traces the evolution of the concept of "communication ethics" in the context of the semiotic oversaturation of the digital environment. The purpose of this article is to analyze the principles of communication ethics proposed by S. Bibi and T. Motet in the context of the challenges of contemporary digital society and to substantiate their relationship with the concept of the ethics of responsibility. The objectives of the study include: uncovering the evolution of the concept of "communication ethics"; analyzing Bibi and Motet's principles through the lens of the "ethics of responsibility"; identifying the main ethical challenges in the digital environment; and determining ways to develop an ethical communication environment. The scientific novelty lies in the synthesis of classical communication ethics theory with philosophical concepts of responsibility to diagnose the problems of digital communication.
