REVIEW OF THE BOOK BY V. P. PRETHER “IN THE CENTER OF THE CYCLONE: MARSHALL MCLUHAN’S TOOLS FOR ANALYSIS OF MEDIA ENVIRONMENTS”

The article is a review of the book by V.P. Preter "In the Eye of the Cyclone: Marshall McLuhan's Tools for Analyzing Media Environments". The name of Herbert Marshall McLuhan is mentioned quite often in various publications (textbooks, articles, monographs, etc.) covering the development of the media sphere. However, not much has been written in detail about his views in Russian. One of the key goals of the book is to present the legacy of G.M. McLuhan to the Russian-speaking reader in more detail and variation, to trace his conceptual idea through the methodology and tools of media analysis (understood by G.M. McLuhan in the broadest possible way) and the possibility of their use at the current stage of development of society and culture.
