THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE CONCEPT OF MEANING IN THE DIGITAL ERA

The article analyzes the transformation of the concept of meaning in the digital era, such as personality, self-concept, others, freedom, dialogue, communication, etc. in the mind of a digital person; it presents the history of the issue, offers examples from practice, and provides statistical data. It has been proven that the digital subject, faced with the challenging conditions of rapid scientific and technological progress, political and social processes, has acquired new skills for perceiving information, while significantly reducing the range of traditional skills (such as semantic reading, comparative and critical analysis, and multi-level text analysis in search of meaning, among others). The conclusion is that the essence of a digital identity lies in creating a stable digital representation of the subject, which exists in parallel with physical identity, follows specific laws of functioning, and requires new approaches to regulation and protection.
