The article examines the linguistic features of prompting as a genre of Internet discourse, using the example of English- and Russian-language neural networks. It identifies the characteristics of communicative interaction in prompt engineering and demonstrates the specific complexity of this genre within Internet discourse. The empirical study focuses on prompt texts and the analysis of neural network responses in the context of scientific, educational, and cosmetology-related online discourses. The article also considers linguistic markers of successful prompt construction as a communicative act with a specific intention in the context of chatbot communication.
