The article presents the results of a study on the influence of network information on social epidemics. The objects of analysis are communities that are popular among young people - "Rhymes and Punches" and "4chan" in the Telegram channel messenger and "VPSh" and "TOPOR – Hot news of the social network" "VKontakte". The purpose of the study is to identify destructive content in these sources and compare the results with the data of a sociological survey on the audience's attitude to social epidemics. In the course of the work carried out, it was established that network media play a key role in the spread of social epidemics, transforming traditional mechanisms for transmitting information and behavioral models.
