FROM CYBERNETIZATION TO DIGITIZATION: DEDICATED TO THE 130TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF NORBERT WIENER

The article aims to draw the attention, first of all, of established and future specialists in the field of information technology, as well as all users of these technologies, to the threats that these technologies pose to our personal integrity. At the same time, the authors proceed from the conviction that being truly modern and capable of responding to relevant threats is possible only on the basis of historical and cultural memory. The article reveals the main features of the formation of the personality of the “father of cybernetics” - Norbert Wiener, who was unfairly forgotten by the accomplices of the modern stage of the scientific and technological revolution. An important aspect of the analysis of the problem posed is the consideration of the relationship between philosophical and concrete scientific knowledge in the historical context of the era and in the internal logic of the creative self-realization of a particular cultural figure. In this regard, the conceptually consistent unity of the ideas of A. A. Bogdanov's "Tectology" and N. Wiener's "Cybernetics" is actualized, and the purely philosophical and reflective contribution of N. A. Berdyaev to the identification of the pitfalls of scientific and technological progress is also noted. Understanding the creative heritage of this year’s anniversaries - N. Wiener and N. A. Berdyaev, as well as the originator of cybernetic ideas - A. A. Bogdanov, allows us to more deeply perceive the internal unity of the process of cybernetization and digitalization with its positive effect and potential threats. The main conclusion of the article is to focus on the activity type of worldview, which is relevant in the modern era and the mastery of which is designed to neutralize the harmful consequences of increasing the sophistication of information technology. It is vital for a person to realize that possible troubles are brought not by technology, but by spiritual poverty and intellectual limitations of himself.
