The article presents the results of a complex study aimed at revealing the axiological landmarks of the discursive personality of the American political radio commentator. The relevance of the work is determined by the prospects for studying the ways of construing values in different types of discourse. The dominant values of the political commentary discourse on American radio are revealed on the basis of the corpus of texts of the author's radio broadcasts of famous political journalists Glenn Beck, Michael Alan Weiner and Mark Levin. The analyzed texts are devoted to pre-election topics. In order to obtain reliable results the methods of corpus linguistics were applied based on the AntConc corpus manager analysis and the semantic markup system of the Lancaster University Research Center (USAS). It was found that the dominant axiological landmarks of the discursive personality of the American political commentator - radio host are the values of "patriotism", "welfare", "security", "freedom", "social justice", "family", "religion", which are found among the nationally specific linguistic and cultural axiological features. The discursive-specific ones are the concepts of "power", "fight" and "fear", which support the agonal nature of communication. The value "truth" contributes to the implementation of manipulation tactics based on the distortion of the truth aspect of a proposition. The article shows that the appeal to these values is an important tool of influence of the discursive personality of an American political commentator. The method of identifying the value orientations of a media discursive personality tested in the work can be applied in further axiological studies of other types of communication.
